Important: Stake itself does not charge deposit or withdrawal fees. However, network transaction fees (gas fees) apply to every blockchain transaction. These vary by network congestion and are paid to the network, not to Stake. Withdrawals during high-traffic periods on Ethereum may incur higher gas costs — using Solana, Litecoin or TRC-20 USDT can reduce fees significantly.

How to deposit for the first time

If you've never used cryptocurrency before, here's the simplest path from CAD to playing on Stake. You can buy crypto directly through Stake's on-ramp at signup, but buying from a dedicated exchange usually gives better rates.

  1. Create a crypto exchange account — Platforms like Coinbase, Kraken, or Newton (Canadian) let you buy crypto with CAD via Interac or bank transfer.
  2. Buy your chosen cryptocurrency — For speed and low fees, Litecoin (LTC) or Solana (SOL) are often better first picks than Bitcoin or Ethereum.
  3. Copy your Stake deposit address — In your Stake account, go to Wallet → Deposit, select the cryptocurrency, and copy the address shown.
  4. Send from the exchange to Stake — Paste the address into the exchange's send/withdraw screen. Double-check the network matches (e.g., TRC-20 vs ERC-20 for USDT).
  5. Wait for confirmation — Most networks confirm within a few minutes. Your balance appears in Stake automatically once the transaction clears.

Withdrawal process

Withdrawing from Stake is the reverse: go to Wallet → Withdraw, paste your external wallet address, enter the amount, and confirm. Withdrawals are processed almost instantly after internal approval — the majority clear within minutes. There are no manual review delays on standard crypto withdrawals, which is a major advantage over fiat casinos.

Tip for Canadian users: Stake displays your balance in CAD by default. This is a conversion layer — your actual funds remain in crypto. When withdrawing to a Canadian exchange, you'll need to sell the crypto back to CAD on that exchange. Consider tax implications: crypto-to-crypto transactions are taxable events in Canada, so keep records.
